Which are better for finding recipes: cookbooks or websites?

  1. hchermak answered: websites….
  2. do-over answered: Books, I think, because the recipes have to be kitchen-tested. I don’t think web sites do the same thing. I think.
  3. morrowplanet answered: Websites = better for finding specific recipe or ingredients, Cookbooks = better for browsing and idea-gathering
  4. carolisawesome answered: websites for sure!
  5. beeborg answered: food network.com! Other than that, cookbooks with pretty pictures!
  6. cleapow answered: I use both, but my cookbook recipes are far more reliable.
  7. coyotesqrl answered: Websites. I believe the best cookbooks are now those that teach technique and philosophy of cooking at this point.
  8. un answered: friends and cooks
  9. ronbailey answered: websites
  10. kellydeal answered: Depends: websites if you have specific ingredients you want to use, easy search then. Cookbooks if you like browsing and dreaming.
  11. burwell answered: cookbooks are more reliable i’d say, it’s like doing a research paper. the internet has a lot, but you want scholarly sources, not wikipedia.
