Help!

onemoretimewithfeeling:

Ok, this is probably a ridiculous question to most of you, but I’m still going to ask it.

Can I create an RSS feed independent from a blog or some other aggregate? And if so, how??

Backstory:

The company I work for wants to send our event information to several websites to be automatically uploaded. They have told us that the preferred method is with an RSS feed (and/or XML, but I really have no idea what that is). Getting a meeting with our IT people is extremely difficult because they have so many projects going on already, so I thought I’d put this out there to tumblr. I know quite a few of you are programmers, etc.

So, can anyone guide me to a website or something that might have the answer?

You can create an RSS feed for anything you want by using raw XML (which is way easier than it might sound). http://www.make-rss-feeds.com/making-an-rss-feed.htm
